Early Childhood Educator

Turramurra kindergarten is seeking full time experienced Early childhood educator/Room Leader/Lead Educators at Turramurra kindergarten

You will be part of the centre and our dynamic team driving our philosophy, vision and values as well as coaching and mentoring our team of passionate educators in their journey of continuous improvement

Childcare Worker / Room Leader Duties

1. Supervise children at all times and maintain a safe, supportive and engaging environment.
2. Provide daily care routines including toileting, dressing, rest, meals and emotional comfort.
3. Set up, maintain and pack away learning environments to support play-based learning.
4. Implement planned learning experiences and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
5. Record observations and daily information to support program planning and communication.
6. Lead room operations, guiding educators to ensure smooth routines and consistent practice.
7. Communicate positively with families about their child’s wellbeing, learning and daily experiences.
8. Follow health, hygiene and safety procedures, including cleaning, first aid and incident reporting.
9. Support inclusion and behaviour guidance using respectful, consistent strategies.
10. Work collaboratively with the team, uphold service policies, and contribute to professional development.

Qualifications:

• Relevant early childhood qualifications (Certificate III or Diploma)

Skills :

• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills

Experience:

• At least one year of experience working in an early childhood setting.

Turramurra kindergarten is a large family based service. We provide care to children aged 6 weeks – 6 years. We know early childhood is a critical time in the growth and development of a child, and as such support and scaffold their life long learning and wellbeing.
