Early Childhood Teacher

Journey Early Learning is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join their Banyo Queensland Centre. The role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment while supporting children’s development through high-quality curriculum planning and meaningful educational experiences. The successful applicant will become an active member of the team and contribute to curriculum decision-making aligned with standards and practices.

This position is full-time and welcomes applicants seeking sponsorship under the Subclass 482 visa.

Key Responsibilities :

• Bring Journey’s values of connection, communication, and consideration into daily practice
• Follow Journey’s child safe policy and code of conduct
• Plan and structure learning experiences across indoor and outdoor environments
• Use a variety of materials and equipment to support children’s development
• Provide experiences that develop motor skills, social skills, confidence, and understanding
• Promote language development through storytelling, role play, songs, rhymes, and discussions
• Observe children’s progress and identify signs of health, emotional, or developmental concerns
• Monitor children’s nutritional health, welfare, and safety needs
• Communicate openly with parents to support children’s development
• Attend parent interviews, centre meetings, and events
• Participate in community and family support programs where appropriate
• Supervise student teachers during placements

Qualifications and experience :

• Formal Early Childhood qualifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
• Applicants without formal qualifications may require additional years of relevant experience
