Green Leaves Early Learning Richlands is seeking a Kitchen Hand to support the Centre Chef in preparing nutritious meals and creating positive food experiences for children. The role focuses on supporting children’s curiosity about healthy food, maintaining high food safety standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Support the Centre Chef in preparing nutritious meals, purees, and food according to dietary requirements for babies and children
• Greet families warmly and provide barista-made coffees and freshly baked treats
• Assist with culinary classes alongside the Centre Chef and educators
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with food safety standards and council requirements
• Support kitchen operations through effective time management and communication
• Step up into the Chef role when required during absences

Qualifications and experience :

• Current Food Safety Certificate
• Current QLD Working with Children Check
• Current QLD Child Protection Training
• Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR, and First Aid Certificates
• Experience preparing food for young children aged 6 weeks to 6 years is preferred
• Availability to work 20–25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Willingness to work Chef hours when required (6:30am–1:30pm, Monday to Friday)
