Room Leader

Learn and Play Preschool (Mas and Zen Pty Ltd) is seeking a passionate and experienced Child Care Room Leader to join their team on a full-time basis. Learn and Play Preschool is a vibrant and nurturing childcare centre dedicated to providing high-quality early learning experiences for children aged 0-5 years. Key Responsibilities :

Team Support, Leading and Mentoring

• Provide day-to-day guidance to a team of educators, helping to build a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Program Development and Delivery

• Create, plan, implement, evaluate, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that reflect the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Child-Focused Development

• Closely observe children’s interests and developmental stages, using these insights to tailor activities that support their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

Play-Based Learning

• Encourage learning through play by setting up a variety of play-based activities, including art, music, games, and storytelling that support language and social development.

Family Communication and Engagement

• Build strong relationships with families, communicate regularly, and foster a sense of community.

Creating a Safe, Inclusive and Nurturing Environment

• Help create a nurturing and inclusive environment where children feel secure, encouraged, and free to explore.
• Support daily routines with care, including meal times, rest, hygiene, and transitions.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience working in a childcare setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Framework.
• Current First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Check.
• Genuine passion for working with young children and commitment to their development.
