Cook / Nutritionist

Moombaki Early Learning is seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children in an early childhood setting.

As an Early Childhood Cook, you will play an important role in supporting children’s health, wellbeing, and daily learning by providing balanced, fresh, and age-appropriate meals.

The successful applicant must be available Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare healthy, balanced meals in line with centre menu guidelines and children’s dietary requirements.
• Support a child-safe environment by following Child Safe Standards and completing required child safety training.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at the highest level.
• Manage allergies, intolerances, and special dietary requirements with care and accuracy.
• Work independently, communicate effectively with centre staff, and help foster a positive team atmosphere.
• Support educators as needed in child engagement and daily centre operations.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in hospitality or food service for at least 12 months or more.
• Valid WWCC and working rights.
• Valid National Police Check.
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team.
