Cook / Nutritionist
Randstad Education is seeking passionate and dedicated Cooks / Chefs to work within childcare environments across Gawler and surrounding suburbs.
This role is suitable for professionals who enjoy cooking and meal preparation while wanting to experience a rewarding career within the childcare industry.
A major benefit of working as a childcare cook / chef is no weekend work or late-night shifts.
You will need to be confident working independently and preparing up to three meals per day for a large number of children. In addition to cooking, your knowledge may be required for menu planning and nutrition guidance.

About The Role :
As a Childcare Cook / Chef, you will:
- Prepare up to three nutritious meals per day for children.
- Work independently in a childcare kitchen environment.
- Support menu planning and nutrition guidance where required.
- Ensure children’s dietary, cultural, and nutritional needs are considered.
About You :
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (highly desirable).
- Experience cooking in childcare, aged care, or hospital environments will be well regarded.
- Safe Food Handling Certificate.
- Allergen awareness and commitment to meeting dietary, cultural, and nutritional needs of children.
- Available for a minimum of two shifts per week.
- Willingness to travel to different locations around your area.
- Australian work rights and willingness to gain a state-based Working with Children Card.
- Possession of a First Aid certificate is highly regarded by some clients.
- Committed to Child Safeguarding and understanding of Mandatory Reporting responsibilities.
- Able to provide contact details of two professional referees who have managed you and can speak to your work.
- Willingness to undertake National Child Safety training.
