Room Leader
Position Overview :
A brand-new centre. A brand-new team. A brand-new opportunity.
Guardian Thornhill Park is opening in September 2026, and we’re looking for passionate, experienced Lead Educators who want to be part of something special from day one. This isn’t just another role in an established centre. It’s an opportunity to help shape the culture, practices, and success of a brand-new community. You’ll work alongside a newly appointed leadership team and a group of like-minded educators to create an exceptional learning environment for children, families, and each other.
We’re building our talent pool now for multiple Lead Educator positions across all age groups, including Nursery, Toddler, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten rooms. Interviews and recruitment will commence throughout July and August 2026.

The Opportunity :
As a Lead Educator, you’ll play a key role in creating engaging learning experiences while mentoring and supporting educators within your room. Working closely with your Centre Leadership Team, you will:
- Lead and support a team of educators to deliver high-quality learning outcomes.
- Foster meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Implement and bring Guardian’s To BE Me learning program to life.
- Create safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environments.
- Celebrate children’s achievements and developmental milestones.
- Support the development of strong team foundations as the centre grows.

What you’ll bring :
- Previous experience as a Lead Educator/Room Leader.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (completed) OR higher.
- A passion for mentoring, supporting, and developing educators.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check.
- Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, across rotating shifts between 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM.
Highly regarded :
- Child Protection Certificate.
- Food Safety Certificate.
- 2–3 years’ experience within the early childhood sector.
