About the Role

Journey Early Learning is seeking a passionate Full Time Early Childhood Teacher to join our North Mackay Queensland centre. In this role, you will be an active leading team member responsible for providing a safe and stimulating environment that meets the needs of children. You will encourage engagement and participation in curriculum decision making in line with our curriculum, standards, and practices. We are committed to investing in our people and will provide tools, training, and ongoing support. This is a full time opportunity and we welcome applicants seeking sponsorship (subclass 482 visa).

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Bring Journey values of connection, communication, and consideration into daily practice
• Adhere to Journey’s child safe policy and code of conduct
• Plan and structure learning experiences in indoor and outdoor environments
• Provide a variety of activities to support motor skills, social skills, confidence, and understanding
• Promote language development through storytelling, role play, songs, and group discussions
• Observe and assess children’s learning progress and wellbeing
• Monitor nutritional health, safety, and welfare needs of children
• Communicate with parents to support children’s development
• Attend parent interviews, centre meetings, and events
• Participate in community and family support programs
• Supervise student teachers on placement.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Formal Early Childhood qualifications preferred (minimum 2 years relevant experience)
• Additional experience may be required if formal qualifications are not held
• Strong understanding of EYLF and NQS preferred
• Experience in early childhood education and care environment.
