About the Role :

Little Learners Place WA PTY LTD is looking for a Room Leader to work in Kalgoorlie, WA for our sister centre, Kids on Dugan. This is a full time role leading the team across various age groups. You will be responsible for developing the service curriculum and planning in accordance with the National Quality Framework, while ensuring high quality care and education for all children.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the team across various age groups within the service
• Develop and implement curriculum planning in line with the National Quality Framework
• Promote the best interests, safety, and wellbeing of all children
• Deliver a high quality educational program aligned with EYLF, NQS, and relevant regulations
• Role model positive relationships for children in care
• Plan and create inclusive learning environments that support every child’s development
• Build and maintain respectful and positive relationships with families
• Foster collaborative, trust-based relationships with all staff
• Engage in professional discussions with educators to improve practice
• Advocate for children as capable learners and design learning through intentional teaching
• Mentor and support colleagues to ensure consistent quality care across the service
• Demonstrate initiative and contribute to the overall success of the service
• Manage time effectively and maintain strong organisational skills.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (completed or working towards)
• Experience in curriculum development and documentation of children’s learning
• Valid Working With Children Check
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications
• Child Protection training (completed or willingness to obtain)
• Strong understanding of EYLF and NQS
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Flexible with shift times
• Passionate, dedicated, and caring approach to children.
