Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate Chef to join our Erskineville (83 places) and Riverstone Campbell St (72 places) team. In this role, you’ll design and prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals that meet dietary requirements, while fostering healthy eating habits. A Food Safety Supervisor certificate is mandatory for this role. This is a unique opportunity to have a meaningful impact in a brand-new centre, supporting children’s wellbeing through food, while being part of a collaborative and passionate team.
Responsibilities :
- Plan and prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 78 children daily
- Cater to dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation
- Collaborate with educators to promote healthy eating and nutrition education
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Order, manage, and rotate stock efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Experience as a Chef/Cook, ideally in childcare, school, or similar environment
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of nutrition for children
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Positive, team-focused attitude with commitment to children’s wellbeing.
