Early Childhood Educator

Discovery Tree Early Learning Centre is seeking a motivated and experienced Child Care Worker to join their family-owned childcare service on a full-time basis. The role involves supporting structured early learning programs, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, and contributing to children’s overall development and wellbeing within a play-based learning setting.

Responsibilities :

● Assist in preparing materials and equipment for educational and recreational activities
● Support the implementation of structured play-based learning programs aligned with approved early childhood frameworks
● Supervise and care for children aged 0–5 years in a safe and supportive environment
● Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development
● Engage children through reading, storytelling, and interactive learning experiences
● Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities
● Assist with children’s daily routines, including meals, rest times, and transitions
● Maintain hygiene practices and support children’s personal care needs
● Observe and report on children’s development and wellbeing
● Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and centre policies.

Qualifications and Skills :

● Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
● Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a childcare or early learning environment
● Valid Working with Children Check
● Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates
● Strong communication and teamwork abilities
● Genuine passion for early childhood education and care.
