Early Childhood Educator
Stirling, Adelaide, SA
Childcare Worker role supporting children’s development, wellbeing, and daily care within a Reggio Emilia–inspired early learning environment. You will contribute to play-based learning experiences, support routines, and help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children aged in early childhood settings.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in preparing learning materials and setting up engaging environments for children
- Support daily routines including meals, rest time, and structured play activities
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure safety and wellbeing
- Encourage positive behaviour and support social and emotional development
- Facilitate age-appropriate, play-based and creative learning experiences
- Maintain hygiene standards and assist children with personal care routines
- Build strong and respectful relationships with children, families, and educators
- Observe and document children’s learning and development progress
- Ensure compliance with centre policies, safety procedures, and regulations
- Support inclusive practices that respect cultural diversity and individuality
- Collaborate with the team to deliver consistent, high-quality education and care
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised learning environments
- Support implementation of Reggio Emilia–inspired learning philosophy.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher
- Minimum 12 months experience in early childhood or childcare setting
- Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning
- Current Working With Children Check and required clearances
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build trusting relationships with children and families
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Commitment to inclusive and respectful practice.
