Early Childhood Educator

Childcare Worker role supporting children’s development, wellbeing, and daily care within a Reggio Emilia–inspired early learning environment. You will contribute to play-based learning experiences, support routines, and help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children aged in early childhood settings.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in preparing learning materials and setting up engaging environments for children
• Support daily routines including meals, rest time, and structured play activities
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure safety and wellbeing
• Encourage positive behaviour and support social and emotional development
• Facilitate age-appropriate, play-based and creative learning experiences
• Maintain hygiene standards and assist children with personal care routines
• Build strong and respectful relationships with children, families, and educators
• Observe and document children’s learning and development progress
• Ensure compliance with centre policies, safety procedures, and regulations
• Support inclusive practices that respect cultural diversity and individuality
• Collaborate with the team to deliver consistent, high-quality education and care
• Maintain clean, safe, and organised learning environments
• Support implementation of Reggio Emilia–inspired learning philosophy.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher
• Minimum 12 months experience in early childhood or childcare setting
• Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning
• Current Working With Children Check and required clearances
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build trusting relationships with children and families
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Commitment to inclusive and respectful practice.
