Room Leader

Guardian Childcare and Education is seeking passionate Room Leaders or Diploma-qualified Educators ready to take the next step in their career. In this role, you will support children’s development through engaging educational programs while mentoring educators and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and mentor a team of educators within the learning environment
• Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality early learning programs
• Build positive and meaningful relationships with children, families, and team members
• Support children’s learning and development through play-based and intentional teaching approaches
• Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and centre policies
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality practices within the centre
• Work collaboratively with Centre Managers and leadership teams.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification
• Experience working within the early childhood education sector
• Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), EYLF, and childcare regulations
• Leadership skills or readiness to step into a mentoring role
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Valid Working with Children Check
• Strong understanding of Child Protection responsibilities
• Current First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis, and Food Safety certificates highly regarded
• Minimum 2 years of early childhood experience highly regarded.
