About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Early Childhood Teacher to join our North Mackay centre. You will be an active and leading team member responsible for delivering a safe and stimulating learning environment while supporting curriculum development and children’s holistic growth. Sponsorship (subclass 482 visa) is available for eligible candidates.
Key Responsibilities :
- Bring Journey values of connection, communication, and consideration into daily practice
- Adhere to child safe policies and code of conduct
- Plan and deliver indoor and outdoor learning experiences using a variety of resources
- Support children’s motor, social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Promote language development through storytelling, role play, songs, and group discussions
- Observe and assess children’s progress and wellbeing
- Identify health, safety, and developmental concerns
- Communicate regularly with families to support children’s development
- Attend meetings, parent interviews, and centre events
- Participate in community and family support programs
- Supervise student teachers on placement.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Formal early childhood qualification preferred (ACECQA approved)
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience (or more if unqualified)
- Strong understanding of early childhood development practices
- Ability to work within child safe and regulatory frameworks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
