Cook / Nutritionist

About the Role :

We are seeking experienced cooks for childcare environments across Golden Grove and surrounding suburbs. This role involves preparing meals for children in early learning centres, with a focus on nutrition, safety, and dietary requirements. This is a casual position with flexibility in scheduling.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and cook up to three meals per day for children in childcare centres
• Work independently in a kitchen environment
• Support menu planning and basic nutrition guidance
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
• Cater to dietary, cultural, and allergen requirements
• Ensure meals meet children’s nutritional needs.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent highly desirable)
• Experience in childcare, aged care, or hospital cooking preferred
• Safe Food Handling Certificate
• Understanding of allergens and dietary requirements
• Availability for a minimum of 2 shifts per week
• Willingness to travel to different locations
• Australian working rights and willingness to obtain Working with Children Check
• First Aid certificate (advantageous)
• Understanding of child safeguarding and mandatory reporting
• Ability to provide two professional referees.
