Early Childhood Teacher

About the Role :

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting educational programs for pre-primary students. You will lead a team of educators to create an environment that promotes the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of every child.

Key Responsibilities :

• Designing and implementing high-quality educational programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Planning and structuring learning in both indoor and outdoor environments using a variety of materials
• Promoting language development through storytelling, role play, songs, and rhymes
• Observing and evaluating students’ progress to detect signs of developmental needs or health issues
• Leading and mentoring junior educators and supervising student teachers on placement
• Engaging in regular parent-teacher consultations and participating in community support programs
• Ensuring all practices align with the National Quality Standard (NQS).

Required Skills and Experience :

• Qualification: Relevant Bachelor or Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent as recognized by ACECQA/AITSL)
• Registration: Current (or eligibility for) registration with ACECQA as an ECT
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as an Early Childhood Teacher in a childcare or kindergarten setting
• Compliance: Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications.
