Centre Manager / Director

Croydon Shire Council is seeking a dynamic Childcare Coordinator to lead the Croydon Child Care Centre, a fully accredited service caring for up to 21 children from Birth to Year 6. The Centre operates Monday to Friday, 8:15am–4:45pm. Located in Queensland’s Gulf Savannah, Croydon offers an inviting outback lifestyle with rich history, iconic heritage buildings, the Gulflander train, stunning sunsets and plenty of adventure, along with essential services including a supermarket, healthcare centre, schooling and recreation facilities. You'll shape how children learn and grow, build strong connections with families, and lead a small team that values collaboration and heart.

The Role: You will oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring high‑quality care and building relationships with the team, children and families and embed the National Quality Framework and standards into practice.

What You Bring: Diploma in Children’s Services; current First Aid/CPR/Anaphylaxis/Asthma certification; valid Blue Card (Working with Children); at least 3 years' experience, strong understanding of childcare legislation and standards; confident communication with children, families and staff; and you enjoy being part of a small, close-knit community and value working in a role where relationships truly matter.
