Early Childhood Teacher

We are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to lead the kindergarten program to a wonderful group of 10-12 children.

You will be joining a boutique early learning service, committed to providing high quality educational programs that is safe, nurturing, and supportive.

The Ferntree Gully team of compassionate educators provide enriching learning experiences that encourage children to explore, think critically, and be creative. Programming is curriculum based - underpinned by state and government frameworks and regulations. Guided by the principles of play-based learning and utilizing our spacious outdoor play area, we create an environment - often used as the third teacher - for children to express themselves, cultivate their imagination, and satisfy their curiosity.

In the role, you are supported by a leadership team that is second to none - always nurturing and supportive - encouraging you to be the best version of yourself.  The early years service philosophy is centred on fostering social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development, ensuring that children are well-equipped for lifelong learning and meaningful engagement with the world. 

To be successful in the role, we ask that you meet the criterion below:

• Early Childhood Teaching qualification (as recognised by ACECQA)
• VIT Registration;
• Experience within an early childhood education setting;
• Ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive learning culture within the Centre for children, your families and your Educator colleagues;
• Practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework;
• Contemporary knowledge of pedagogy;
• A good understanding and awareness of the cultural needs of families;
