Full Time, Childcare Worker Grow Early Learning Centre Giraween (204 Targo Road Girraween, NSW, 2145) $76,515 plus Superannuation

Grow ELC is a boutique, family-run business with centres based in Blacktown and Girraween. At our centres, we aim to provide high-quality education and care in a warm and secure environment. We are currently looking to recruit an Early Childhood Educator for our Giraween centre who will be at the heart of our centre’s daily operations—fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing space that inspires children to learn, explore, and grow. We pride ourselves on providing the highest possible standard of care and seek enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join our team.

Skills and experience :

  • Someone who can make everyday fun and exciting for the children
  • Minimum of 1 year experience
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates
  • Ensure learning and development are aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Experience with room leadership and team management would be an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Roles and responsibilities :

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment by planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate educational experiences that support children’s learning and development
  • Support children through daily routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, toileting, hygiene practices, and transitions, ensuring consistency, comfort, and a sense of security
  • Promote and model positive behaviour guidance strategies to foster children’s self-regulation, resilience, social skills, and respectful relationships with peers and adults
  • Support inclusion and equity by adapting practices to meet the diverse cultural backgrounds, abilities, languages, and additional needs of all children
  • Plan, prepare and set up engaging educational and recreational activities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and active participation
  • Encourage children’s social and emotional development by creating a warm, friendly group environment that promotes independence, confidence, and overall wellbeing
  • Actively participate in storytelling, music, games, and creative play experiences to enhance engagement and support learning outcomes
  • Promote children’s health and safety by responding to individual needs (including allergies and medical conditions), administering first aid or medication as required, and maintaining accurate documentation of incidents, injuries, and medication records
  • Observe, document, and analyse children’s learning and development to inform planning and support individual progression
  • Work collaboratively within a team to maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Model and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness to ensure a healthy environment for all children
  • Adhere to Children’s Services Regulations by maintaining vigilant supervision at all times and prioritising the safety and wellbeing of every child
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and carers through open and effective communication
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, professionalism, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth and continuous improvement
  • Display a friendly, energetic, and positive attitude that contributes to a welcoming and supportive childcare environment.
