Early Childhood Educator

Kentish Early Learning Centre Big Rivers is seeking a dedicated Child Care Worker to support our vibrant team and ensure the delivery of high-quality care and education.

Location : Katherine, Northern Territory Commencement.

Kentish Early Learning Centre Big Rivers, a state-of-the-art centre that opened in early 2023, is located in Katherine East. Kentish Community Services Limited is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation providing nurturing and educational care for children across the Northern Territory, from birth to eighteen years. 

Our programs include :

• Home-based family day care
• Out-of-home care
• Centre-based long day care
• Outside school hours care (OSHC).

Requirements : 

• Develop and maintain respectful relationships with children, families and team members
• Respect and provide support and inclusion for all children, regardless of gender, cultural background, or socio-economic status
• Work as a team, sharing room responsibilities
• Managing children's behaviour and guiding children's social development
• Provide care and supervision of the daily routine of children
• Plan, implement, assess and review a high-quality and diverse educational program based on appropriate curriculum frameworks and with reference to the NQS and EYLF, considering the developmental needs, interests and abilities of all the children attending the service.

Mandatory Qualifications: Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Current Senior Early Childhood First Aid and CPR certificate. Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Training National Police Clearance. Current Working with Children’s Card. Child protection certificate.

Work Hours and Conditions : 

• Flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday
