The Centre :
This beautiful 79-place centre in Sydney's Northern Beaches is looking for an Assistant Director to join their team on a permanent full-time basis in 2026. The service prides itself on its strong relationships with families and local communities. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Room Leader to advance in their career!

The Role :

As the Assistant Director, your responsibilities will include :

  • Working alongside the Centre Director and team of educators and teachers to drive high-quality standards and ensuring consistent pedagogical practice across the entire team
  • Being a good mentor to educators, fostering a collaborative partnership focused on delivering exceptional care and educational outcomes
  • Responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day running and administration of the centre
  • Fostering a constructive and engaging team environment that values respect and collaboration
  • Demonstrating strong leadership skills and have the ability to contribute effectively to a team environment by providing support to all staff as required.

About You :

To be successful in this position, you must have :

  • Diploma or Bachelors of Early Childhood Education OR ACECQA-approved
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Room Leader or 1 year experience as 2IC
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma Manager
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Recent Child Protection/Safeguarding training
  • Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS and QIP
  • Unrestricted working hours.
