About the role

Our OSHC is located on the beautiful grounds of St John Fisher’s Catholic Primary School in Tumbi Umbi and is open from 6:30am to 8:30am in the mornings and from 3pm to 6pm Monday to Friday. During the school holidays the OSHC is open from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday. 

Our OSHC Coordinator plays a vital role within the service from creating the program, rostering, mentoring and the administration for the service.  You will be supported by the Practice Manager who will guide and help you grow in your new role.

This is a Permanent Full-time position.

Duties

  • Engaging, implementing, and evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests and needs of school age children and meets the requirements of the 'My Time - Our Place' Framework.
  • Understanding the requirements of being the Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
  • Ensuring compliance to the National Quality Standards and the Regulations.
  • Building ongoing positive relationships with the schools, families, and employees.
  • Where needed take on the role of Educational Leader within the service.
  • Working on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.

Requirements

  • Working with Children Check.
  • Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Qualifications Diploma or Cert IV in OSHC.
  • Plus, experience performing the role of a Nominated Supervisor or Coordinator working in outside school hours care.

Highly Desirable

  • Skills and experience in team leadership.
  • Knowledge of regulations relevant to Outside School Hours Care and the National Quality Framework – My Time Our Place, as it applies to Outside School Hours Care.
  • Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
