About the role
At our Early Learning Centre we provide a range of activities for children aged between 3 and 5 years of age so that each child can engage in something they are interested in. We run programs such as bush kindy, and excursions into the community.
We are looking for a Child Care Educator that can understand the needs of a child and create a fun, warm, caring, and safe environment. This role is a permanent role with flexibility to work across our morning and afternoon shifts.
Ideally you will
- Have an understanding and experience with The Early Years Framework.
- Assist the Coordinator to plan, implement and evaluate programs.
- Ensure a welcoming, safe, hygienic environment, reflective of best practices.
- Create a fun and engaging environment through play experiences.
- Develop positive and supportive relationships with children and families.
- Form collaborative and positive relationship with colleagues.
Requirements
- Completed the Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
- Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.
- Completed CHCPRT025 ‘Identify and report children and young people at risk’.
Highly Desirable
- Completed or willing to complete Safe Food Handling training.
- First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one before starting.
