The Centre
This stunning, 80 place service located in the heart of Glenmore Park is seeking an experienced Centre Director to join their team to help lead and guide a strong team of educators to further successes. The service follows a play-based and interest-based approach whereby children are provided the agency to voice and guide their own learning experiences. The centre boasts large indoor and outdoor spaces which are purposefully designed and well-resourced to ensure educators are provided with the opportunity to implement high quality educational experiences.
As the Centre Manager, your role is to inspire, lead and mentor others whilst creating and maintaining a positive learning environment for children aged 0-5 years, as well as, connecting with their families and the local community.Though the service mainly takes a play-based approach, it also believes in following a variety of philosophies and theories to ensure each child receives quality educational care based on their individual needs whilst adhering to the Early Years Framework and as Director your role is to ensure this occurs.
This position requires a qualified Early Childhood Teacher (must have your Bachelors in Early Childhood or above or ACECQA approved equivalent). The centre is open Monday to Friday from 7:00am - 6:00pm.
The Role
As Centre Director of the service some of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Being responsible for the daily management and administration of the service
- Motivate, support and work in partnership with the Assistant Director, Educational Leader and all educators, driving them to excel as they deliver care and educational programs to children
- Overseeing the centre curriculum based on the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework
- Driving quality in practices in line with the National Quality Standards
- Mentoring and guiding the service philosophy
- Be enthusiastic, positive, productive and conduct oneself in a professional manner

About You
To be successful in this position you must have:
- Bachelors in Early Childhood Education (equivalent or higher) qualification OR ACECQA-approved
- Prior experience as a Director or Nominated supervisor
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma Manager
- A current Working with Children's Check
- Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS and QIP
- Knowledge about childcare subsidy schemes is a bonus!
