About the role 
At our Early Learning Centre, we provide a range of learning experiences for children aged between 3 and 5 years. The centre offers Term Time preschool and Extended Hours preschool.  We are looking for an Early Childhood Teacher to work Monday to Friday with shifts ranging from 7:00am to 6:00pm. 

 

The successful candidate will work alongside the Director supporting and implementing the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and the Education and Care Services National Regulations.  You will also have the ability to participate in programs Bush Kindy and excursions into the community.
  
You will

  • Work alongside the director to provide high-quality care and education.
  • When required perform tasks associated with being a Responsible Person in Charge of the service.
  • Ensure a welcoming, safe, hygienic environment, reflective of best practices.
  • Be responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of programs in partnership with other Early Childhood Teacher. 
  • Create a fun and engaging environment through play and intentional experiences.
  • Develop positive and supportive relationships with children and families. 
  • Form collaborative and positive relationship with colleagues. 

 

The successful candidate will

  • Have a bachelor’s degree of Education, Early Childhood and be accredited at minimal Provisional level with NESA.
  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Have completed CHCPRT025 or previous - Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk
  • Have a current and valid Working with Children Check.

 

Highly Desirable

  • We encourage those Working Towards their ECT degree to apply.
  • Ability to implement contemporary teaching practices in relation to guiding children’s behaviour.
